On Friday 1 February 2008, the Tisch School of the Arts and Tisch School of the Arts Asia held a simultaneous screening and reception for MFA film students on opposite sides of the world.

The screening, which took place at 9pm in New York at the Kanbar Institute and 10am in Singapore at Tisch Asia, presented 20 MOS (silent) films - 10 by students in New York and 10 by students in Singapore.  Video conferencing workstations allowed Singapore students to talk in real time with their NY counterparts and react to each other's creative works.

The event is just one example of community building and collaboration between the NY and Singapore campuses.
