Biography

Yi-Ling Teo is an Advocate & Solicitor (Singapore) and a Barrister-at-Law (England & Wales). She holds a LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Liverpool and a LL.M. (cum laude) with a specialisation in Intellectual Property & Media Law from Northwestern University School of Law. Yi-Ling was a Research Assistant at Northwestern Law, taught Media Law at the School of Film & Media Studies at Ngee Ann Polytechnic for 6 years, and prior to that she was in private practice for 2 years. She has spoken and presented papers on legal issues affecting the media, at international media conferences organised by the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) and the Centre International de Liaison des Ecoles de Cinéma et de Télévision (CILECT). She is the author of a book entitled "Media Law in Singapore", which is published by Sweet & Maxwell Asia, and in its second edition. Yi-Ling is currently with the Singapore office of the international law firm Baker & McKenzie, and part of its intellectual property and media law practice.
