Are Professional courses separate from the MFA programs at Tisch Asia?
Yes. Admissions and courses are both completely separate. Taking a professional course does not gain a student access to MFA programs.
Do I need a diploma or college degree to be eligible?
No. You do not need a diploma or college degree to take professional courses.Who takes Tisch Asia Professional courses?

Do I need a background in or experience in the area I'd like to study?
No. Unless otherwise specified, Professional Short Courses are designed to accommodate students with no experience in course's area of study.Are there other benefits of Tisch Asia’s classes?

Professional courses offered at Tisch Asia represent some of the core components on which the film programs at Tisch School of the Arts and Tisch Asia are based. The course content is the result of over 40 years of Tisch filmmaking and instructional experience. The work of Tisch Alumnus has been honored at the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes, the Sundance Film Festival, the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival, etc.
Can students take just one course?
Yes. Students are free to take as many or as few classes as they wish.Is financial aid available?
Scholarships are not available for professional courses.Is housing available?
Tisch Asia doesn’t operate dorms, however we will provide students with information about short-term housing options.Can I earn college credit by taking Professional courses?
No. Professional Courses offered at Tisch Asia are not offered for college credit.
Certificates of completion are awarded to students who satisfactorily complete Professional Courses.Do you require IELTS, TOEFL or other English proficiency scores?
Because coursework is conducted in English, students are expected to be proficient in English. However, no proficiency exams are required for registration.Is there a minimum age requirement?
Students under the age of 18 will need written approval both from their parent or guardian and also Tisch Asia administration before enrolling in Professional Courses. Please contact the Tisch Asia Office of Professional Courses for more info.
