Prerequisite: None. Students should be proficient in the English language. A minimum IELTS score of 5.5 (or equivalent) is recommended.

What moves an audience? What makes them laugh? In this course, we will write and revise short screenplays that have an impact on our audiences. Through lecture, discussion, and viewing of short films, we will explore the principles of storytelling for film and use what we learn in our own writing. Some of the subjects we will cover are character, imagination, visual narrative, conflict, and dialogue. Classes will be conducted with a good deal of playfulness in order to inspire our creativity.
Certificate of completion will be awarded to students who satisfactorily complete the course.
