Animation and Digital Arts Program featured at fmx/08

NYU Tisch School of the Arts Asia Animation and Digital Arts Program will be featured at the fmx/o8, the 13th International Conference on Animation, Effects, Games, and Digital Media. fmx/08 takes place from May 05 – 08, 2008 in Haus der Wirtschaft, Stuttgart, Germany.

FMX is the primary European meeting of the digital community. Presenting cutting edge digital entertainment, the conference addresses the interests of professionals in creation, production, and distribution from all corners of the industry. Innovative approaches in the animation, visual effects and gaming industries create a focus for discussions about the convergence and future of digital entertainment.

From PacMan Games to Mocap Animation: NYU Tisch Asia Animation and Digital Arts Program

Jean-Marc Gauthier, director of the new animation and digital arts MFA program, will speak about the program curriculum, covering traditional animation, interactive animation, gaming, and motion studies applied to design. Jean-Marc will share examples of the work students in the program will explore. The MFA in animation and digital arts is offered in Singapore at Tisch School of the Arts Asia, starting fall 2008.

Jean-Marc will speak on Monday 5 May from 2pm to 3pm.
