Dramatic Writing Faculty Search – Singapore Campus
The Graduate Department
of Dramatic Writing at Tisch Asia’s new campus in Singapore is searching to
fill a number of full-time faculty positions on the Arts Professor track
(non-tenure, open rank, 1 – 5 year contracts) to commence in the 2010/2011
academic year.
We are looking for experienced dramatists who can teach: playwrights,
screenwriters, and television writers.
Successful candidates must have active careers and must already have achieved a substantial body of professional creative work.
Teaching experience on the university level is preferred. Also acceptable are writers who can demonstrate how they will translate their professional experience into dynamic teaching.
While not required, the ability to teach in a second dramatic medium and/or the ability to teach text and story analysis courses is considered a plus.
Faculty
members will teach 5 courses per year, advise graduate students, and
participate in departmental and school-wide
committees and functions.
On-going professional work while teaching is encouraged and expected.
Candidates must be prepared to relocate to Singapore for the period of
employment.
