Biography
Ellis Jones is the former Vice-Principal of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and was the Academy‚s Head of Acting from 1993 to 2003. As a director of RADA‚s Enterprise initiative he currently directs graduate actors in a range of productions, including works by Shakespeare, Chekov and major contemporary writers for audiences on board the world‚s biggest ocean liner, the Queen Mary 2. Before joining RADA, Ellis directed professional companies throughout the UK, and was Artistic Director of the theatre at Keswick, Cumbria. As an actor he was the Fool in "King Lear" with Patrick Magee (ITV) Elbow in the BBC television "Measure for Measure", and a regular character in two 26-episode comedy series "Pardon My Genie" and "The Squirrels". In 1998 he wrote the Acting book in the Hodder Headline Teach Yourself series, and this year Ellis will host a new website,
