Scholarships, Loans, Grants

NYU Tisch School of the Arts Asia, in conjunction with the NYU Office of Financial Aid, awards scholarships, loans, and grants to students based on financial eligibility. For an overview of the university's financial aid opportunities and deadlines, please visit here.

Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are awarded each year to incoming Tisch Asia students.

Loans and Grants

All students, regardless of citizenship, should consider loans and grants to help cover the cost of tuition, fees and living expenses. All Tisch Asia students may apply for study loans from the CitiAssist Global International Custom Program for NYU students.

International Students

In addition to the CitiAssist Global International Program, international students should check with their local government to determine if scholarships are available for study outside their home country.

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents

Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents may wish to consider applying for the Media Education Scheme, a funding scheme administered by the Media Development Authority Singapore to support talents who wish to pursue full-time tertiary education in media-related courses at recognized overseas and local institutions.  Please note that applications will be considered on the basis of individual merit.

U.S. Citizens

Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to qualify for loans and grants. Students from the U.S. are encouraged to submit the FAFSA each year to determine aid eligibility and renewability.

Working in Singapore

International students who hold a valid student pass are permitted to work part-time up to 16-hours per week during the semester and full-time during vacations. However, the school strongly advises you to learn first about the demands of the MFA programs before seeking employment.
