The Directing Award: U.S. Dramatic

Cary Joji Fukunaga '09 (Graduate Film) for Sin Nombre. Fukunaga wrote and directed this first-hand experience with Mexican immigrants seeking the promise of the U.S. This epic Spanish-language dramatic thriller is Fukunaga's thesis film.

Sin Nombre was also recognized with The Excellence in Cinematography Award: U.S. Dramatic (Cinematographer: Adriano Goldman).
