New York University Tisch School of the Arts Asia invites you to study filmmaking, acting, writing, animation, and digital arts.

Tisch School of the Arts Asia's non-credit professional short courses are open to all people interested in the art of film, writing, and animation. These courses are designed both for people without any prior experience and also for industry professionals looking to increase their skills.

Classes are offered weekday evenings and weekends to accommodate a variety of schedules.

Coursework is delivered by New York University Graduate Professors and Industry Professionals in residence at Tisch School of the Arts Asia.

Digital Filmmaking

A week-long full-time intensive introduction to filmmaking from start to finish. Student will work together to write, direct, produce, and edit short films.

Television Writing Workshop: 1 Hour Drama

This 6-week course takes a practical approach to writing the 1-hour drama for television.

Acting Workshop: Scene Study

This four-week course is an intensive monologue and scene study workshop for the actor with some prior experience who is looking to enhance their understanding of the fundamentals of acting.

Feature Film Script Analysis

Films may leave us excited, moved, thrilled, saddened or elated – but in every case, the writer’s goal is to make us look at how people cope with the pressures of the modern world. Film Script Analysis will use six motion pictures to examine the techniques writers use to create the stories that light up the movie screen. 

Film Producing Essentials

This course is designed to provide students with a framework for understanding the dynamics of producing (as an art form and a business profession) a finished creative product on Film.

Writing the Short Film

This 6-week workshop focuses on the language of screenwriting, and the art of writing a dynamic short film.

The Basic HD Cinematography Workshop

Provides the essential tools needed to get the most out of any HD camera in a wide variety of filming environments.

Introduction to Acting

Learn the fundamentals of acting for film and theatre through exercises and scene study. Prior acting experience is welcome but not required.
 

Master Workshop: The Audition

This one-day workshop will teach actors and actresses skills that will help to improve their audition-day performance.

3D Interactive Studio Using Virtools

Five-day intensive workshop covering 3D design, game production, scientific visualization, and virtual communities.
