Source materials, educational initiatives, and market forces will be scrutinized in historical contexts and permutations from Disney to Sesame Street to Nickelodeon to Baby Einstein. Special focus will be placed on forms of delivery from television to internet to games. Students can expect to discuss readings and attend screenings in addition to producing one research paper and one practical project of their own design.
