A student can register for an elective course outside the program (other programs at Tisch School of the Arts Asia or Tisch School of the Arts in New York) under the following conditions:

• The course qualifies as a graduate course.
  
  
• The student cannot accumulate more than 8 credits outside the program including this course towards their MFA.
  
  
• The student cannot take this course as a replacement for the program's mandatory courses.
  
  
• The student is aware of possible extra-costs incurred, when registering for more than 18 credits during a semester.
  
  
• The student receives approval from the Director of the program.
